War Council™ is a presentation of White Metal Games™ and airs twice a month.  Unlike many gaming centered podcasts, our show focuses exclusively on HOBBY.  No mathhammer or GT/Meta game talk here.  We talk to industry professional about painting, sculpting, 3D printing and casting models, kit bashing, and more!  Caleb Dillon is the Owner of White Metal Games.

We are full time miniature painters, making a living doing what we love, and we invite you to join us for a chat about miniatures!

Check out our most recent episode! You can also download us on Itunes!

Episode 36 is Here!

In this episode Caleb and Val chat with Tyler Mengel of Mengel Miniatures about his origins in the hobby, what he’s working on at the moment, and his life as a competition painter.  We discuss how he got to where he is today, and what his plans for competing are moving forward. Tyler is a surprisingly active wargamer and still plays at his local FLGS on a regular basis.  Imagine competing against his army at the local GT for painting scores!

We also talk about our new Display Board projects, and the service set to launch later this year.  The discussion turns to finding a good Plinth, now that WMG is getting into more and more display quality models.  Finally we discuss Themed Armies and Concept projects, especially as they pertain to both video games and wargaming in general.

For October WMG is offering 8% off labor on any ‘undead themed’ commission til Halloween.  In addition we are still taking orders for our new Tandem Commission, Deathwatch vs Xenos.  With Genestealer Cult finally here, now is the perfect time to get in on this project.

Next time on the show we’ll be interviewing Reaper Bryan of Reaper Miniatures and discussing how the largest manufacturer or solo RPG figures in the world is still very much a small, family run business.
