Hello everyone. Luke and I recently played our first game of X-Wing in ages. I played as Imperials and Luke played as rebels.

I try out the 3rd place list from the 2016 Store Champs tournament and have a lot of fun with Whisper. Even if we did bump more times than I can count and I didn’t use the decloak card….

untitled

The lists consisted of:

Imperials

97 points Pilots

“Whisper” TIE Phantom (39), Agent Kallus (2), Veteran Instincts (1), Advanced Cloaking Device (4)

Captain Yorr Lambda-Class Shuttle (32), Emperor Palpatine (8)

“Omega Leader” TIE/fo Fighter (26), Comm Relay (3), Juke (2)

The idea behind this list that placed 3rd at the 2016 Worlds is that the Tie Phantom has always been a very quick and elusive ship, and this is combined with the new crew upgrade Agent Kallus. Kallus lets you choose one ship at the start of the game, and he gets to turn a focus result into a hit or evade when attacking or defending.

This allows you to select an enemy ace, or stress bot Y wing, to be the target of your aggression. Captain Yorr is invaluable in taking stress for your ships, and this helps the phantom survive. The Emperor crew upgrade also helps make your bad rolls better. Using the Tie F/O “Omega Leader” is a great ship, with the ability to augment your enemies dice to have the worst possible outcome for them.

Rebels

100 points Pilots

Poe Dameron (PS9 Version) T-70 X-Wing (47), Black One (1), R2-D2 (4), Proton Torpedoes (4), Weapons Guidance (2), Push the Limit (3)

Rey YT-1300 (53), Finn (5), Mercenary Copilot (2), Millennium Falcon (Segnor’s Loop Version) (1)
