#9 THE HORUS HERESY BOOK SIX – RETRIBUTION £74

Horus Heresy Retribution

Description

The Horus Heresy Book Six – Retribution continues the unfolding saga of the Horus Heresy. As the fires of total war consume entire worlds and whole Legions clash, away from the front lines the Knights-Errant are abroad too, penetrating the warp storms that afflict the entire galaxy as they carry out a mission bestowed upon them by the very highest authority on distant Terra. The Shattered Legions pursue bloody vengeance against the hated Traitors, who in turn seek to hunt the Loyalist survivors down no matter where they might seek refuge. Blackshields – orphaned or outcast Legiones Astartes who have renounced their Legions and obscured their heraldry – harbour their own objectives, alone in the darkness, sometimes aligned with the Traitor cause, sometimes the Loyalist, but just as often for their own unknowable ends.

This book explores the unseen Shadow Wars that raged across the entire galaxy as betrayed Legiones Astartes mounted bitter campaigns against their former brothers, determined that if death was to be their fate, their betrayers would share it. This tale is told across five chapters, describing five very different Shadow Wars of the Age of Darkness. Also included are a detailed campaign system and a set of special Shadow Wars missions, enabling players to undertake their own series of linked battles fought between the types of forces explored throughout the book.

The Horus Heresy Book Six – Retribution is a lavishly printed, leather bound book. Its 297 pages contain a myriad of new rules, including those for combining Space Marines of several different Legions into a Shattered Legion force, and new Legiones Astartes rules for the Dark Angels, Blood Angels and White Scars Legions.

Rules are also included for the heroic and elite Knights-Errant, the renegade Blackshields, and numerous new Rites of War for each Legion. In addition to this, unit entries are included for new consul types, heroes and war machines of the Legiones Astartes, including the Legion Mastodon Heavy Assault Transport and Dreadnoughts of the Leviathan pattern and Contemptor-Cortus class. The Mechanicum also gain new characters and units including Anacharis Scoria and the Arlatax class Battle-automata.

This book can be used in concert with the Legiones Astartes: Crusade Army List, the Mechanicum: Taghmata Army List, or the complete collection of Horus Heresy books to fight the cataclysmic battles of the Age of Darkness. You will also need a copy of the Warhammer 40,000 core rule book to use these books.

#8 IRON HILLS DWARF WARRIORS £40

Iron Hills Dwarfs

Description

Unlike the other Dwarf holds of Middle-earth™, those of the Iron Hills are not renowned for their great wealth or their skill in the forging of weapons and armour. Instead, the Iron Hills are famed for the fearsome warriors that make up their armies. The warriors of the Iron Hills are amongst the greatest fighters of the Third Age, both incredibly tough and well disciplined. Expertly trained in the art of warfare, the Dwarves of the Iron Hills will adopt the tactic of forming a shieldwall in the path of their enemies, a bristling bulwark that is almost impossible to penetrate.

Iron Hills Dwarves are the main warriors for both an Iron Hills and an Erebor Reclaimed force. This kit comes with 12 Iron Hills Dwarf Warriors, each armed with a spear and a shield and presented in a unique pose. The armies of the Iron Hills are the most formidable fighting force of their time and this is reflected in-game. The Iron Hills Dwarves are not only stronger than their kin from other strongholds, but are also clad in thick plated armour and carry large shields, making them incredibly tough in combat. They can also form a Shieldwall with other Iron Hills Dwarves nearby, locking together their shields to further increase their durability, making their lines all but impenetrable.

This highly detailed, multi-part resin kit makes twelve Iron Hills Dwarf Warriors, each armed with a spear and sheild. Twelve 25mm round bases are included.

#7 LEGION SICARAN BATTLE TANK £79LEGIONS ICARAN BATTLE TANK

Description

One of the most advanced armoured units in the arsenal of the Great Crusade, the Sicaran Battle Tank was the exclusive province of the Space Marine Legions. The Sicaran utilises component technologies from various STC patterns to create a high-speed ‘destroyer’ tank to complement the more commonplace Predator and Land Raider designs.

The primary armament of the main Sicaran variant is the sophisticated Herakles pattern accelerator autocannon, a superior rapid-firing and highly accurate weapon. It fires shells at far higher velocities than a standard autocannon, enabling it to successfully track and engage swift moving targets and pinpoint vulnerabilities in enemy armour with lethal precision.

The Sicaran Battle Tank is a complete resin kit. The rules for this model can be found in the Horus Heresy Book 2: Massacre.

#6 LEGIO CUSTODES CALADIUS GRAV-TANK & CUSTODIAN GUARD £120

caladius bundle

Description

The Legio Custodes are the bodyguards and sworn protectors of the Emperor, and his chosen emissaries. #4 SPARTAN ASSAULT TANK £109

Description

An armoured transport of truly massive proportions, the Spartan is a heavy assault tank previously all but unknown outside of the revered Space Marine Chapters and the secretive Adeptus Mechanicus. The Spartan is a huge armoured conveyer whose purpose is to carry a large body of troops into the very heart of an enemy’s battle lines, weathering weapons fire that would be the death of any lesser vehicle.

Its design bears clear connections with that of the mighty Land Raider, and its genius is such that the greater proportion of its interior space is given over to a transport capacity greater than any other Imperial vehicle save the super-heavy Gorgons – being capable of carrying twenty-five power armoured Space Marines into battle. It is, however, considerably faster on the battlefield thanks to potent reactor-driven motive drives, and it boasts an equally potent armament in the form of sponson-mounted quad lascannon batteries and secondary heavy bolters.

The Spartan can also be upgraded with our range of Land Raider doors.

The Spartan Assault Tank is an enormous multi-part resin kit that features a detailed interior.

#2 LEMAN RUSS, PRIMARCH OF THE SPACE WOLVES £70

leman russ

Description

Due to very high demand for Leman Russ, Primarch of the Space Wolves, despatch may take longer than usual. Currently, it may take up to 2 weeks to despatch this product.

Master of the Space Wolves Legion and Lord of icy Death World of Fenris, Leman Russ was an incomparable warlord, ferocious beyond measure and faultlessly loyal to the Emperor and his Imperium. Known as the Wolf King and the Lord of Winter and Ruin, as undoubtedly as savage as Leman Russ was, he was also wise beyond his Legion’s barbaric appearances and self-aware to a degree few guessed at, which made him doubly dangerous.

At Prospero his loyalty and foresight were used against him by the machinations of Horus, as he was loosed upon his brother Magnus. What was to follow was one of the darkest hours of the Imperium’s history, as Space Marine was set against Space Marine in war unto the death. The Burning of Prospero was a conflict eclipsed only by the nightmare civil war that came after.

Fighting with a ferocity and skill far beyond anything human, Leman Russ wields the sword of Balenight, known as Mjalnar, an ancient blade whose dark legend stretched back to the Age of Strife; and Helwinter, Russ’ great frost axe, its murderous edge made with the kraken-teeth of a mighty beast Russ slew himself. His warplate is a suit of singular artificer power armour, incorporating unique exothermic field generators, otherwise unknown of in the Imperium’s arsenal of technology.

Leman Russ, Primarch of the Space Wolves is part of The Horus Heresy Character Series. Russ’ exceptionally detailed armour features runes, pelts and the markings of the Space Wolves Legion along with a range of ranged and close combat weapons. He is depicted charging to battle through the ruins of Prospero, featuring icons of the Thousand Sons Legion, with a larger removable scenic base.

Rules for using Leman Russ, Primarch of the Space Wolves in Horus Heresy games can be downloaded from the Download tab on this page. Full rules will be available in the forthcoming Horus Heresy Book Seven.

This is a complete, multi-part resin kit. It includes a 40mm gaming base and 60mm scenic base. It is presented in a black Horus Heresy Character Series box.

#1 ACASTUS KNIGHT PORPHYRION £320

ACASTUS KNIGHT PORPHYRION

Description

One of the most heavily armed and armoured of all the Knight chassis in service, the Acastus Knight Porphyrion rivals even the Scout Titans of the Legio Titanicus in terms of size and power. Armed with weapons that can obliterate even the most heavily armoured target, it is truly a force to be reckoned with.

Taller than even the towering Cerastus Knights, the Acastus Knight Porphyrion is a dominating presence on the battlefield. The Knight’s main weapons are a pair of twin-linked Magna Lascannon, devastating weapons an order of magnitude more powerful than even the Sollex pattern Heavy Lascannon of the Mechanicum Taghmata.

Where a Knight Paladin may carry a heavy stubber as a secondary weapon, the Porphyrion is armed with a pair of autocannon which are often replaced with Lascannon when additional anti-armour firepower is necessary. It’s Ironstorm Missile Pod has a substantially larger payload than those found on more common Knights, though in battle-zones where the danger from airborne assault is apparent, this system can be replaced with powerful Helios defence missiles.

Rules for using the Acastus Knight Porphyrion in both Mechanicum Taghmata and Questoris Knights armies in Horus Heresy games can be downloaded from the Download tab on this page.

The Acastus Knight Porphyrion is a complete, multi-part resin kit. It includes several optional secondary weapons.

There you have if everyone, the Acastus Knight Porphyrion came in at the top of the list. Were you shocked?  Did something miss the list that you feel should’ve made it? Let us know in the comments below.
