40k Your Move: Ghaz’s Orks Vs. Thunder Hammer Terminators

By Rob Baer | December 13th, 2010 | Categories: Orks, Warhammer 40k, Your Move

I used to really enjoy an old article in Inquest Magazine (published for Magic the Gathering) called Dead Man’s Hand.  You would only have one turn left and you had to kill your opponent that turn, or you lose. They showed you your hand and the battlefield, and you had to come up with the combo that would win.

It was pretty cool, and got me thinking- hey why not do that with 40k? So here’s another Your Move article.

Here’s the scenario: Ghazkull and his sqaud of 25 Ork Boyz has were charged by 5 Terminators with Thunderhammers and Storm Shields. Ghazkull will pop his Waaaagh to so his armor save for the next two combats is 2+ and Invulnerable.

It is the Terminators turn to attack now at Initiative 1, they have suffered no wounds yet. They need to break through this combat and take the winning objective. It lies slightly behind this combat and they have the rest of this combat, and their turn to do it.

How do you win?
