Facehugger Pattern Canoptek Scarab Conversions

By Rob Baer | November 29th, 2011 | Categories: Conversions, Necrons, Warhammer 40k Articles & News

Well I’m back with yet more fruits of my thanksgiving labor, delicious Necrons conversions!!!!

Today I have what I like to call Facehugger Pattern Canoptek Scarabs that I accidentally discovered when making my Cryptek conversion.

These guys are actually pretty easy to make, and only require two different bits for parts.  I think they would look pretty cool on some Lord’s or Cryptek’s base, or chilling on vehicles like some weird scarab overlord. I suppose you could make a whole army of them as well…..

Parts List

Lychguard Displacement Packs
Particle Caster Bits
40mm Base?

How I made them

Like I said this conversion is pretty easy. Just cut the pack like on the right, and then glue the legs onto the Particle Caster bits, either frontwards or backwards to make two different looks for the little buggers.

You could add tails and such to them as well, but I think this is a good base for something cool.

Check out the three I made below.

What do you think, creepy huh? -MBG
