The new Kytan Daemon Engine is here, and Chaos Daemonkin may have just got a HUGE power boost. Come see this army list!

Daemonkin quickly became a fan favorite amongst Chaos players, but that army seems to lack a credible ‘anvil’ unit to break their enemies over in combat.

Sure the Lord of skulls is good, but you can take TWO Kytan walkers for about the 1000 or so points that the Lord of Skills is most effective at.

Now take a look at this Chaos list, and how hard it can hit starting on just turn two!

So there are a lot of moving parts with this list, but the basics are to scout the Flesh Hounds and Lord up and prepare for a large decapitating charge on turn two.  You can use the hounds to shield the Kytan as they move about the same average wise (with the Kytan’s movement re-rolls factored in).  Most missions will see you choosing a book for your Exalted Gift for use with the daemon engine, but don’t be afraid to option out and book the hounds if there are no credible threats to the Kytan himself.

When turn two hits, you should have two Blood Tithes in the bank from Bloodhost’s command benefit. Now the trick is to spend them and double down on the Blood Tithe Chart using the Slaughter Cult’s special rule as well (maybe there is a reason to buy possessed ). Use the bikers, blood letters, and possessed to attack secondary targets. Remmeber Khorne cares not from where the blood flows!

Now most models in your army should have Rage and Furious Charge at this point, and with a little luck from reaping the red harvest, your turn three will see every more goodies on the board from The Blade of Endless Bloodshed, and the sneaky Tzeentch casters summoning daemonic hordes in the backfield.

Wash, rinse, repeat… in blood!
