We have already covered how evil the Inquisitor can be, but today we are discussing Valen Rudor. He comes with an awesome pilot ability that will be shaking up the game. Let’s dive in!
Valen Rudor clocks in at Pilot Skill 6 and has an ability that allows him to perform a free action after he defends from an attack. Just like his wing-mate the Inquisitor, Push the Limit works wonders for this guy.
The cool thing about his ability is that if he gets shot at with a Twin Laser Turret, (they are everywhere) after defending he could either barrel roll / boost out of range or he could boost into range 1 to avoid the second shot.
He could even grab a target lock if he doesn’t have one already and with the TIE v/1 title he could get a free evade token as well.
If Valen is equipped with Proton Rockets but he is out of range to fire them, after defending he could boost into range 1, Push the Limit for a focus, and blast an enemy with 5 dice! The combinations are almost endless depending on if you Push the Limit during the Activation phase or the Combat phase.
This will definitely be one of the newest Imperial aces to watch out for…until the Imperial Veterans pack releases! Try him out and see what he’s all about.
