Today we’re coming back to Anvil Industry and checking out some amazing models made for Afterlife, but they can be your new counts as!
This is a great time for the table top hobby because they’re SO many counts as models out there.
We’ve went over the different factions of Afterlife in another article, I won’t rehash it, but today we’re looking at the Republic; PCR for short. Essentially, these guys are the rebellion.
First up, here are the grenadiers; which I really like. A key feature about these guys is that they come in two parts; legs and torsos. So, a set of two gives you four different model possibilities in seconds.
I love GW and the multipart kit but sometimes they can be painful to assemble when you’re trying to knock out a horde army. The resin used here is really good too. I’m really impressed with it. Size wise they would make great space marine scout substitutes or any Imperial Guard member.
Republic Commandos come in a pack of 6 for 12 GBP, they have a cool heavy assault rife and some tactical pants. It’s a neat look. I’m digging the different feel from the Unity council guys.
Rail Rifle Commanders, sniper like units, come in a pack of 5 for 15GBP.
You’ll notice on the sprue they come with some extra terrain bits for your base which, in my opinion is super cool. I really like his power feed going to his backpack.
The Republic commando’s are assault specialists and come with riot shields. One guy, really neat, shown here, has a breaching charge, really cool.
The pulse mech’s are models that remind me of the kit Matt Damon wore in Elysium, these are really saucy models. Further, the model comes with multiple heads, a really cool bit of terrain that lets you go really dynamic with the kit. Further, you also can get the jetpack separate, which fits on the back and looks super cool. You could make an entire 40k jump troops, of course, they don’t come with close combat weapons, but you could easily get those and they make great counts as.
The Exo-Mech squad comes in a squad of 4 and what’s really cool is just the styling. They come with different arms but they have a predator style shoulder mounted gun that is super cool. Also, they look great on a 32mm base.
Lastly, one of my favorites, a gun tractor. This is a remote sentry turret with a huge ass Gatling gun because, why not. It’s a neat little model and worth it for the price.
