The latest Rebel squadrons have just come out of hyperspace for the Star Wars Armada. Let’s take a look and see how these new fighters will impact the game.
The VCX-100 is an excellent support squadron for the Rebel fleet. This squadron has the Relay and Strategic ability, although it only has Relay 1. A beefy 8 hull and 3 blue anti squadron dice will keep it in the fight for quite a while.
The Lancer Pursuit Craft adds a new bomber to the Rebel line-up. This ship has Rogue, Bomber, and Grit, making it an excellent bomber that needs no support from ships to keep it aimed at the enemy. A few on these in your list can perform bombing runs on enemy ships that out reach your other capital ships.
The E-Wing feels like a super X-Wing with its ability to Snipe enemy squads out of the way before performing bombing runs of its own. 4 blue anti squadron dice enable it to go toe-to-toe with any Imperial squadron out there and come out on top.
The humble Z-95 makes its debut in Armada! These scrappy little fighters have the swarm ability and have 3 red anti squadron dice. While not as accurate as blue or black, Swarm helps them re-roll one attack dice to help them better hit their targets.
