Paul Heaver, 3 time X-wing world champ, has designed his latest upgrade card. This new crew member goes by the name of BoShek and he is ready to join your squadron!
One of the perks of being the current world champion is the honorary privilege of designing an upgrade card for X-Wing. Having designed Stay on Target and Boba Fett crew, Paul now has most recently designed the BoShek crew card.
This crew member, which can be used with any faction, allows you to look at a chosen maneuver of a ship that you are touching; friend or enemy. If you do the owner of that ship must rotate its dial to an adjacent maneuver, even performing maneuvers while stressed.
This means that if you choose an already stressed ship and an adjacent maneuver on its dial is red, you can potentially give it another stress as well as place it in a precarious position. This maneuver changing is not restricted to enemy ships however.
In this example from the Fantasy Flight website, Nien Nunb is stress an at range 1 of Fenn Rau. The Rebel player would like to keep Fenn Rau in his sights and opts to use BoShek, who is a crew member of Sabine Wren’s Attack Shuttle.
As they are touching, the Rebel player uses BoShek to rotate Nien Nunb’s dial to a red 4 Koirogan turn and performs that maneuver, even while stressed! Nien Nunb successfully keeps Fenn Rau in his sights and is free to blast away at the poor Fang Fighter. The BoShek crew card allows you to pull this off as well as many more crazy shenanigans.
An excellent ship to place BoShek on would be Captain Oicunn. After you bump an enemy ship and deal them one damage, you can use BoShek to change their maneuver dial so that you set them up for more ramming next turn! It’s a brilliant scheme. One that will surely have your opponent frustrated in no time!
The latest new addition to the crew lineup is none other than the smuggler BoShek. What other crazy combinations will we see with this mist interesting crew member?
