Dirty Tricks With The Quadjumper: X-Wing Tactics

By Barclay Montgomery | February 15th, 2017 | Categories: Star Wars Tactics, X-Wing 2.0

The Quadjumper has just hit the X-Wing tabletop, and it has some nasty tricks up its sleeve. Come and see what new horrid ploys you can try out on your frenemies!

Let’s start off with the shenanigans. Unkar Plutt has an amazing control ability that has him assign a tractor beam token to each ship that he is touching after the Activation phase. This goes for friends and foe alike. It’s best to utilize this ability and get in your opponent’s way. Since you will be bumping ships frequently, add BoShek as a crew member.

BoShek will add to your control ability, and since you will be touching a lot of ships, why not include him! So in addition to ships having tractor beams on them you can also alter their maneuver dials with BoShek’s ability.

If your enemies stay out of reach, you still have options up your sleeves. Equip Spacetug Tractor Array and you can assign a tractor beam token to a ship at range 1 inside your firing arc. This effect applies to your friendlies as well in case they get into a tight spot.

To help makes sure you get the perfect bump, equip Pattern Analyzer to ensure that you can perform actions after you perform those red reverse maneuvers. This extends your reach by being able to barrel roll after going backwards. They’ll never seeit coming!

If all else fails, and you really need to cripple your opponent fast, use an EMP Device. Instead of firing you can pop the EMP device to assign 2 ion tokens to each ship at range 1. Your enemies can;t help but avoid Unkar Plutt, and this will take your enemy’s  focus off of your harder hitting ships.

So that’s the best we now have for Scum and Villainy control ships. Use this ship build and let us know what results you get!
