We’ve been seeing all sorts of new rules and Formations from the new book Fracture of Biel-Tan, so let’s change it up and take a look at some of the story.

If you’re like many of others in the hobby then the game is not just the rules only. Today we’re going to take a look at some of the fluff inside the new book Gathering Storm: Fracture of Biel-Tan.

The Rise of the Yncarne:

Fracture of Biel-Tan

Yvraine pulled the Asu-Var from the wraithbone spine of Craftworld Biel-Tan. She pulled it out with such ease, it was almost as if it was not hard earth at all, more like water. Biel-Tan started to tremble as if it were undergoing an immense earthquake. As the Craftworld started splitting you could hear the departed souls cry out, being released from their bondage in the infinity circuit. Yvraine would yell out “Arise and live!” as the Yncarne, godly avatar of Ynnead would rise from the shattered wraithbone of the world-ship. It’s described as a towering monstrosity of twisted bone and shimmering souls, both terrible and beautiful all at once. This is the moment we’ve been waiting for!

The Biel-Tan Meet with the Human Leaders:

Fracture of Biel-Tan

Autarch Meliniel was the first to speak to the human leaders, agreeing that they have good reason to feel the hatred they do towards the Eldar. But he tried to show the leaders that they were there to see that the Eldar and Humanity escaped their doom. But as to be expected, the humans were not too accepting, Greyfax calling them pampered peacocks and depraved fiends. Yvraine would reassure them that herself and their Saint share the same goals, even though she may not yet realize exactly what they are. Celestine would agree that the Warp rift must be prevented from growing any further than it already has. It was the Visarch who stepped forward, standing by Yvraine, letting them know that they will not be alone in the fight against the encroaching darkness.

Eldrad Gets Exiled:

Fracture of Biel-Tan

Eldrad met with the Seer Council and quietly listened as they made their case. For so long Eldrad has operated under his own selfish wants and they’ve finally had enough. They stated his behavior is intolerable, and it is not for him to decide the fate of the Eldar race by himself, nor to dabble in affairs of Gods, like he has been for so long. They told him that he is no God, he is barely even an Eldar.  It became their wish to Exile him, leaving him with the threat that if he acted once more on the behalf of the Eldar race he will be put to death.

The Humans Agree to Accept the Aid of the Eldar:
Fracture of Biel-Tan

Greyfax would come out and say that caution should still be taken at all times, the Eldar are not to be trusted. But their mutual task was more important that the immediate gratification of the kill. After all the Eldar could always be put down once their mission was complete. They reached an agreement that the Imperial would accept the aid of the Eldar, giving them all their trust, but their options were limited and didn’t really have a choice. The Ynnari delegation promised the Imperials they would outdistance themselves from the Chaos Space marines that pursued them. The Eldar would go through the Warp first to rejoin their craftworlder kin, followed suit by the Imperials.

But none were ready for the warhost that awaited them on the other side.

Description

Though they long ago learned how to stave off the vile attention of She Who Thirsts – known as Slaanesh in the tongues of men – the Time of Ending yet tightens its grip on the Eldar. No matter the methods they use to escape the notice of the god who haunts them, the Eldar sacrifice much in the process.

Some Eldar refuse to abandon the glorious dream of building their ancient empire anew – or at least burning brightly before the end. Eldrad Ulthran, High Farseer of Craftworld Ulthwé, puts into place a plan to bring forth Ynnead, the slumbering God of the Dead. A daemonic host assaults Biel-Tan, corrupting its infinity circuit. Unlikely alliances are formed in the face of desperation. And the Gathering Storm darkens over the entire galaxy…

Gathering Storm: Fracture of Biel-Tan is presenting a lot of intruiging information. There is so much more to be had inside the covers of the new book, this is but a taste of what you can expect to read.
