Why You Should Field Armada’s New Imperial Fighter Aces

By Barclay Montgomery | February 1st, 2017 | Categories: Star Wars Armada, Star Wars Tactics

The Empire in Star Wars Armada has many aces to combat the Rebel threat. Let’s take a look at the latest Unique Squadrons for the Empire!

Colonel Jendon is an amazing squadron that will help your other squads defeat the Rebels! His ability lets you attack with a friendly squadron at distance 1-2 of him, even if that ship already attacked! This is an excellent way to rid yourself of those pesky Rebel fighters.

Maarek Steele joins the Imperial ranks in his TIE Defender. His ability allows you to change one attack die to a critical icon. This will help him punch through the Rebel defenses on their capital ships, and his Bomber keyword helps to maximize his damage potential.

A new unique pilot, Morna Kee pilots a Decimator. While she is attacking she may spend 1 defense token to re-roll any number of dice in her attack pool. Since this squadron only has 1 defense token, this may seem like a bad idea, until you read that whenever this ship activates, it may recover discarded defense tokens! Wow! This ship will be deadly against the Rebel forces.

The Empire’s favorite TIE Phantom pilot finishes out the ranks of elite fighters. This ship is slippery and can move distance 1 even if it is engaged with the Cloak ability. Her unique ability also allows her to move distance 1 after defending against and attack in which she spent a defense token. This combo makes the Phantom nearly impossible to lock down.

That’s it for the Empire greatest fighter pilots for Star Wars Armada. Will the Rebel Aces be enough to handle their might? Stay tuned to find out more!
