There might not be any Wolves on Fenris, but we’ve got Wolf-kin right here! Come see the latest unboxing of Forge World’s Fenrisian Wolf-kin.
Rob is back with another Spikey Bits unboxing video. This time we’re looking at the Forge World Leman Russ Wolf-kin models. Based heavily on Norse mythology, Freki and Geri are here to tear up some Thousand Sons and defend Leman Russ on the battlefield. During Russ and Magnus’ confrontation during the burning of Prospero, Russ was accompanied by two enormous Fenrisian Wolves, said to be his longtime companions.
Companions of the Wolf King since his earliest days, the Wolf-kin of Russ rarely venture far from their master. When Leman Russ leads his Legion to war, Freki the Swift and Geri the Cunning will be at his side, defending him from any assault and turning the fierce intelligence and brutal strength to the hunt for his enemies.
The Wolf-kin of Russ can be purchased from Forge World for £70.
These are enormously detailed models, and each of the wolves is significantly larger than even a Thunderwolf! Each has its own fantastically detailed 90mm cavalry base.
As you can see from this exploded view, each wolf is multi-part, Forge World is sculpting them in awesome dynamic poses like leaping atop a Thousand Sons Legionnaire or striding across the shattered remains of a Thousand Sons Contemptor Dreadnought.
Each of the bases for the Wolf-kin is a masterpiece of its own, including tons of fantastic details like shattered stone bearing the glyphs of Prospero, to discarded bolters.
Each of the models has a number of parts, enabling the great posing. As always make sure you clean your resin models with a degreaser soap to remove the mold release before you assemble or paint them!
