The Latari Elves will be able to strike from a distance with precision and evade attacks with the Deepwood Archers Unit Expansion!
Fantasy Flight Games has given us a preview of the Deepwood Archers Unit Expansion for the Latari Elves. The Deepwood Archers practice until their bows are extensions of them. Their accuracy allows them a wide variety of tactics on the battlefield. The expansion comes with eight unpainted miniatures that are ready to wear the colors of any Latari faction, whether that be the Bloodwood Archers, the Starplain Guardians, or the Deepwood Rangers. They come in at a cost of seventeen for two trays.
The expansion comes with five upgrade cards which compliment these undisputed masters of the bow. They can strike from range and evade before the enemies can train their sights on them. They can spend two unique surges to perform a Speed -1 shift in any direction after the assault, as long as they are not locked in combat. Each unit has the Precise 1 keyword which allows players to treat their archers’ attacking dice rolls as if they have one additional full rank of trays. Their command tool allows them to constantly turn, reform, and shift to attack from a distance and evade any direct combat. A bonus surge is provided by their modifier tool for them to spend alongside their attack dice roll.
They can draw upon the power of the natural world with their upgrade cards. One, Hunter’s Guile, which grants an Overgrown 1 keyword and can replace one of their dice with a white die if they can spot an overgrown terrain between Range 1 and the number of natural energy runes on the field when they are in participating in a ranged or melee attack. If the archers ever become locked in combat, the Pathwalker’s Amulet upgrade card can be discarded by the archers to gain the Protected keyword for the duration of the attack.

The Deepwood Archers Unit Expansion includes eight Deepwood Archer Figures and two plastic infantry movement trays, enough to field a unit of Deepwood Archers or add on to the units found in the Latari Elves Army Expansion, as well as five upgrade cards.
