Fantasy Flight Games will be releasing an expansion for the Latari Elves: Infantry Command. Let’s see what the Latari’s Finest bring to the table.
The Latari Elves Infantry Command Expansion brings the champions of the Latari to fight against their enemies and inspire their comrades in heroic feats of arms. The expansion includes four new miniatures and 18 upgrade cards for bolstering your Latari troops. The expansion pack is set to be released in the 3rd quarter of 2017.
The Latari Champion has proven himself to be a beacon of light to their warriors. Some travel looking for duels or stay and defend their homes. When on the table, they can counter attack using the enemy’s spent momentum against them using the upgrade “Avenger of Latariana” after defending against a melee attack. This allows the champion to perform an attack if his command dial has not been revealed and has the Latari player revealing their command tool without activating it during the round.
Music and song is the specialty of the Starling and bolstering the hearts of their comrades is their mission. Their notes can strengthen a warrior and clear the minds of those locked in battle. When using the “Rallying Starling” upgrade, the Starling allows you to use a skill to remove a bane or ready one upgrade card for every ally between range one and three. The “Tactical Starling” prevents the Latari from receiving panic tokens when disengaging from enemies.
The Herald stands at the front with their banners flying as a warning tot heir enemies and a reminder to their comrades of the Path. A Herald may use the “Greenwatch Herald” upgrade card to grant a re-roll to an attacking ally at range one to the number of natural energy rune tokens on the battlefield from overgrown terrain is attacking. The player commanding the herald may place one overgrowth token at range three to five of their unit after deployment. A plus is that abilities treat this token as overgrown terrain even if the card is exhausted.
The Storm Sorceress harnesses the power of nature to attack enemies and shield allies. During battle, using the “Verdant Sorceress” upgrade, an ally near overgrown terrain from range one to the number of natural energy runes on the battlefield. As a skill, that ally may remove bane tokens up tot he number of natural energy runes.
