These Wookiee star ships are tough and ready for battle in Star Wars X-Wing. Check out this super tanky build that could take on the Empire by itself!
Wullffwarro is a beast of a Rebel fighter. Coming in to the battle at pilot skill 7, he is the most skilled of the Wookiee pilots. His pilot ability makes it so that the more he takes damage, the more dangerous his attack output becomes. Whenever he is attacking, if he has no shields and at least 1 damage card assigned to him, his Wookiee rage kicks on and he rolls 1 additional attack die. With an agility of 1, it won’t take long for his ability to work, but we can speed that process up by equipping some elite upgrades.
Selflessness is a new elite upgrade that can help keep you other ships safe from harm .When a friendly ship at range 1 is hit by an attack, you may spend Selflessness to suffer all uncanceled hits. Wullffwarro takes the hits for his squad-mates, and in return increases his damage output. Alternatively, you could equip Draw Their Fire.
This elite upgrade works much like Selflessness, but you don’t have to discard it. It also allows you to suffer 1 uncanceled crit instead of a friendly at range 1. Either way, Wullffwarro will keep his friends safe. A nice way of keeping all of his attacks on target is to add some Wookiee Commandos to his ship.
This 2 slot crew upgrade allows you to re-roll your focus results. This may come in handy if you had spent your focus on defense or had reinforced instead of taking a focus action. It’s good to have options to modify all of those attack dice you will be throwing out!
