Phantom Echos: New Build For X-Wing

An old favorite is getting the dust knocked off with this TIE Phantom build. Echo is an oldie but a goodie if you play it right!

An old Imperial favorite, Echo is a tricky ship to fly, but once you master it, it can be unstoppable. Decloaking happens at the start of the activation phase and can get you out of tight spots. Echo has the nifty ability to use the 2 bank instead of the 2 straight for decloaking, making her movements very unpredictable.

Advanced Cloaking Device is usually seen on Phantoms, especially Whisper, but this build is different. Let’s go with Stygium Particle Accelerator. This modification allows you to perform a free evade action whenever you decloak. This helps boost your defense right after you decloak, ready to face the engagement. This pairs perfectly with Juke.

Juke triggers if you have an evade token on your ship. While attacking, if you have an evade token, you may change 1 of the defender’s defense dice to a focus result. This is perfect for thwarting your enemy’s plans by either forcing damage through or forcing them to spend a focus. Either way, it’s bad for them.

Collision Detector is a system upgrade that can help when Echo gets into tighs spots with her decloak ability. If an enemy tries to box Echo in from decloaking by being near obstacles, use Collision Detector to ignore obstacles when performing your decloak and then ignore critical results. A nice utility tool to help Echo decloak!

To furthur make Echo a tricky ship, Rebel Captive can induce rage in your enemy by forcing a ship to take a stress after targeting Echo. This little ship will get a lot of attention, so remember your Imperial training and you will survive!
