Come see the newest expansions for Warhammer Underworlds Shadespire unboxed and take a look at the universal cards for any faction as well.
This week’s releases from Games Workshop feature Necromunda and Shadespire expansions, dice, terrain, and a whole new supplement. For this review, our very own Rob Baer got his hands on the all-new Chosen Axes and Spiteclaw’s Swarm expansions and their corresponding dice and card sleeves. He has these releases on his paint bench to give the full breakdown of what your hobby dollars could be going towards.

This latest wave of Shadespire releases brings us the Chosen Axes for the Fyreslayers and Spiteclaw’s Swarm for the Skaven. Both expansions retail for $30 and come with a selection of miniatures and 60 unique cards. Do take note that the Fyreslayer squad consists of 4 minis while the Skaven have 5. The dice kits are of the same standard as previously reviewed dice sets from GW and roll well.
The faction card sleeve packs look great and Rob is curious to hear from Shadespire players who use them if they hold up well and if they tend to stick to one another.
The Spiteclaw’s Swarm expansion contains a warband of 5 named Skaven and 60 unique cards. Of the 60, 29 cards will be unique to the Skaven. The remaining 31 can be used universally in your Shadespire games. The minis themselves come on two sprues and are push-fit. As we have seen with the previous push-fit kits for Shadespire, Age of Sigmar, and Warhammer 40k, the detail is fantastic and they assemble quickly with little to no fuss.
Both the Skaven and Fyreslayer kits are a great value for their retail price. We are excited to see what new faction/expansion will be next for Shadespire and how the Organized Play scene gears up.
