The Uprising Has Begun! Come see our breakdown on the new Infinity JSA forces, and the Adepticon bundles from Corvus Belli.
Now known as the Japanese Secessionist Army, the forces of the rising sun are breaking away from the Yu Jing faction. Details on how and why, will be featured in the new Uprising supplement book, which is on pre-order now, until March 25th. Also on pre-order now, is a few exclusive Adepticon bundles, that only con goers will have first dibs on.
But fret not, anyone can pre-order the bundles, which will ship mid-April.
Let’s dive in!
So, in the last article featuring the new JSA, you saw what is coming in the new army box. But now we have info on how the army will be organized, and some of the new unit profiles.
First off, there is a new character, Kuroshi Rider (Aragoto Senkenbutai Rikugaun Shoi). What a name! This new motorcycle mounted operative is a really solid addition to the JSA. With a great stat line, and some clutch abilities to help you accomplish objectives. Plus a sleek design and a fox-eared helmet, referencing a mysterious motorcycle rider in the popular anime “Durarara“.
Next is a new Light Infantry unit for the JSA, Ryuken Unit-9. A spec-ops unit with two different profiles, with both represented by minis in the new box set. These two minis are great sculpts, on top of some really cool abilities like Forward Deployment L2, and optical camouflage. If you didn’t spot the reference yet, the pair, and name, is a reference to Batou and Major Kusanagi of Section-9 from Ghost In The Shell! So Cool!
Then we have the new power armored samurai looking figure, the Daiyokai Dengekitai. This dude is a beast. Not only is he a hulking power armored warrior, but his stat line is no joke. Able to use Martial Arts and Duel Wield, he also has a new ability, Fatality L1. Letting him get critical hits on 1s as well as normal critical rolls. ooh-wee that’s good!
This new box is going to be a must own for me, or anyone who wants to grow their JSA collection or a great way to get into the faction for the first time.
Now we have the Adepticon Bundles. This includes the new JSA army box, plus the Kaizoku Spec-ops exclusive mini, Infinity Uprising book, and the exclusive Brawler Mercenary. And the cherry on top is the brand new O-Yoroi TAG Pilot mini thrown in!
If you cant make it to Adepticon, this is a great pre-order deal to get the new hotness, and some exclusive extras.
