Prepare For Judgement: New Tabletop Game & KS

judgement

Come take a look at Judgement, a hot new game that we had an opportunity to demo at Adepticon 2018. This game has it all, with more miniatures on the way soon.

Adepticon 2018 had a ton of new IPs on display, and a new game out of Australia took the con by storm. This game is the real deal! While many exhibitors were pitching an idea or getting ready for their first Kickstarter, Judgement came in hot with the full package.

Not only is the game already out, with a full range of simply astounding 54mm scale miniatures, but also has a game board, dice, counters, game aids, cards, a companion app (with all rules and cards for FREE), but also alternate battlefield mats on the market too!

Wow, just, wow. Judgment has it all. On top of all that, their Wave 2 Kickstarter is in full swing, adding new miniatures to the range, and some other great goodies too. Get in while you can, it’s not every day you find a sure thing on Kickstarter these days.

These minis are amazing. Immaculate resin casts, and display terrain bases with every hero.

This game is quality through and through. Inspired by the exciting team battles in popular MOBA games, you and an opponent pit their heroes against each other in an area style brawl. Each hero has their own role and abilities in battle. From crushing your enemies under the weight of heavy steel axes to summoning demons to fight for them, and everything in between, the combat in Judgement is high octane action.

From knee-high halflings to towering minotaurs, Judgement has some of the coolest fantasy heroes out there.

At Adepticon 2018 I was able to sit down with Judgement’s designer, and face of the game, Andrew Galea. When designing Judgement, he wanted to bring the unique feel of MOBA games and arena style combat to the tabletop but cut out the filler. There is no boring “planning phase” in Judgement. Right to the action.

Starting off, Judgement brings Picks, Bans, and Drafts to the table. In the simplest mode of play, 3v3, each player chooses 5 heroes. Then each player Bans one hero from their opponent’s pool of 5. After which, you choose 3 of the remaining 4 heroes to be your war band. In larger game modes like 5v5, the game adds in a draft mechanic that is really cool.

The basic way to win is to destroy your opponent’s Effigy. An arcane artifact forged by gods, and it’s up to you to stop them and destroy theirs in the process. There is also some pretty deep lore and background written for the game which you can find on their website here, Judgement.game and find their Kickstarter from wave 2 here.

We will be painting some of the Judgement heroes live on Twitch, if you’re interested in the game, or just the awesome minis, make sure to check it out.
