May WD 2018 Post

Read up on some more Deepkin lore, Harlequins, Deathwatch, Necromunda rules, and more in this month’s hobby content-packed issue of White Dwarf!

The May issue of White Dwarf is here and it is a complete 180 from last month’s. Where last month’s issue was lacking overall in content, the May issue is nothing but cover to cover news and hobby articles. Readers will also be blown away by this month’s Blanchitsu installment, which showcases yet another great hobbyist.

Our very own Rob Baer has the May issue on his paint bench gives us a look as to what we can expect to see inside.

May WD 2018 contents

This month’s issue brings us more background story on the Idoneth Deepkin and one of the included battle reports features the Deepkin taking on Nagash’s undead forces. The second battle report has Primaris Marines taking on the Tau in an epic 2 Vs 2 with four players bringing a total of 8,000 points to the table.

Other features to look for in this month’s issue are the new Necromunda rules for the Venator Gangs, previews of the new Blood Bowl Team, the Doom Lords, the new Deepkin models that are coming this week to pre-order, more information on the Van Saar Gang and the Gang War 3 supplement.

Blanchitsu WD

Blanchitsu is back this month and it reveals a wicked Armageddon-themed setting that was created by a hobby group out of Helsinki. There were inspired by Blanche’s work over the years and created what is aptly named Tor Meggido. This project, which will be expanded and highlighted over the coming months, features a post-apocalyptic hive world that is a radioactive desert. Picture roving warbands and gangs fighting over the remaining scraps of resources a.k.a 40k Mad Max.

There are also 10 pages of Paint Splatter, a feature on how to paint markings on your monsters, and a massive section on how to paint an impressive Forge World Ryza pattern army. If you want an issue packed with hobby content, this is it.
