The Black Sun pays their aces well, and their best is none other than Talonbane Cobra! Keep this build in your Scum arsenal for particularly strong foes.

Talonbane Cobra Kihraxz Fighter

Talonbane Cobra is the quintessential Scum Ace that loves to benefit from his range combat bonuses, especially since his pilot ability greatly boosts it. When Talonbane is attacking or defending, double the effect of his range combat bonuses. This gives him +2 agility at range 3, and +2 attack dice at range 1. This allows Talonbane to safely approach his victims, and then crush them at range 1.Vaksai

Being in a Khiraxz Fighter has its advantages, especially with the Vaksai title. This title card reduces the squad point cost of each attached upgrade by 1 and also allows for up to 3 modifications. Talonbane will be fit to fight after we’re done with him! Fearlessness

Since Talonbane greatly benefits from range 1 attacks, Fearlessness makes him even more dangerous. When attacking inside the defender’s firing arc at range 1 and the defender is inside your firing arc you may add 1 hit result to your roll. At range 1, Talonbane can throw 5 attack dice, and if they all hit, he can blast any other ship out of the sky with a massive 6 damage attack! Engine Upgrade

Since the Vaksai title lets us have 3 modifications, we can really equip this elite Khiraxz. An Engine Upgrade can allow Talonbane to get up close and personal with boosts. Getting into range 1 of your target is his biggest priority. Vectored Thrusters

Vectored Thrusters gives Talonbane the barrel roll action, which can help him get out of tight spots, or even get him into range 1 of an enemy. Being more maneuverable can make Talonbane really dangerous, but therein lies the problem of not being maneuverable enough. Experimental Interface

An Experimental Interface can allow Talonbane to essentially have a “Push the Limit” ability when it comes to actions. Since both Engine Upgrade and Vectored Thrusters have the “Action” header, Experimental Interface really let’s Talonbane go wherever he likes, at the cost of 1 stress token of course. Talonbane Cobra will be a fighter to be feared once you add him to your Scum squad.
