Hearthstone
Hearthstone is a free card game that you can play online. Avoid all the anxiety that comes from social interaction while still being able to play with some cards! (in all seriousness, it’s a lot of fun). It’s set in the Warcraft universe with all of the cards found somewhere in Warcraft lore. There are nine playable classes that all have unique cards and effects exclusive to them.
You can sling spells with a mage, conjure elements with a Shaman, resurrect minions with Priest, and so much more. For anyone who has a computer and enjoys games, they should at least give this one a try.
It’s also available for iPhone and iPad.
Hearthstone: New Boomsday Project Expansion is Here!
A new expansion just hit called the Boomsday Project. A ton of new cards were added and we’re watching the meta shift. Everyone is trying new experiments with cards and it’s basically like watching a toddler walk for the first time. There hasn’t been a solid meta stick yet.
The game is free but you can also purchase packs in the store from all different kinds of previous sets. If you ever played World of Warcraft back in the day, you’ll love the nostalgia aspect of this game from looking at all the heroes and characters alone.
Is it Pay to Win?
I can already hear some of you saying “it’s completely pay to win” so let’s clear the air some. The game will start you off with some basic cards and a few packs to get you started. After that, you can complete daily quests to get gold to buy packs from the store if you don’t want to spend real money.
Past that, you can always play in the arena where the game generates random cards for you to pick. Then you can go up against other people who made their decks from random cards too. This doesn’t require you to have any kind of card-pool to win.
There’s even another game mode called “Dungeon Run” where you go up against different characters in Warcraft lore and you can build your deck as you go. The further you progress, the enemies get A LOT stronger and you’ll also find cards that’ll help you along the way.
Give It A Try
If you’re a casual gamer or even a competitive gamer, Hearthstone is a good choice. You can download it on your phone and play in your free time or put it on your computer and get hours of enjoyment. It can go in any direction you choose.
