3rd Place: Pär Hylander- Chaos Daemons

tokmaster 5 daemonsThis Chaos Undivided Daemon list is actually pretty unique. WE haven’t gotten many lists running with Be’lakor, but I personally think he’s well worth the point difference over a normal Daemon Prince. Clearly, Pär thinks so too! Lord of Change is always a super solid option for psychic support, as they’ve got great power options and are relatively affordable. Three squads of 3 Nurglings are pretty standard as they are super cheap and hard to kill, perfect for grabbing objectives out the gate!

tokmaster 5 daemons 2For Elites, they opted for 14 Beasts of Nurgle who have been seeing an increase in popularity lately. They are super hard to kill and have a decent punch making them very point efficient. Moving onto Fast Attacks there are Furies to help lock up units and maybe grab isolated objectives, while the Screamers can also help them out with their new-ish bite.

2nd Place: Mats Danhage- Ultramarines

ultramarines

tokmaster 5 ultraStarting off with the HQs they took Tiggy for the amazing value psychic support, plus a Captain on Bike to help the 6 Outriders further down the detachment. There are also 20 Intercessors split among 3 squads for solid objective holding and decent enough bodies.

tokmaster 5 ultra 2For the second detachment, there is a Cheif Apothecary to help keep the heavier hitters alive longer (if in range). Two 3 man Eradicator squads offer an intense amount of firing power. Three Bladeguard vets offer a solid melee unit when the time comes to throw down. Three suppressors and two Company Vets round out the list offering a good spread of options with solid choice in each category.

1st Place: Mathias Ahlgren- Tyranids

tyranids wal hor

tokmaster tyranidsFor HQs we see a standard choice in Broodlord for Psychic support and a Tyranid Prime for a cheap melee beater. Follow this up with a single squad of Hormagaunts just in case melee comes up (it will) and three squads of Termagaunts offering some decent shooting considering its only 50 points for 10 models. There is also a massive 9 man squad of Warriors. These took Deathspitters and Talons, plus three with Venom Cannons. You can’t go wrong with warriors, they are also a solid option.

tokmaster tyranids 2This first detachment also took two Lictors for some cheap melee units, plus 3 Raveners for even more melee prowess. A single Mawloc offers some deep striking and mortal wounds when it dies.

tokmaster tyranids 3The second detachment is more compact with a Neurothrope offering more psychic support and two ripper swarm squads for even more cheap bodies. Round this out with 4 Hive Guard and an Exocrine and you’ve got a complete Tyranids list that offers tons of bodies with a good mix of more elite units backing them up in the fights.

Tyranids Victory- Congrats to Mathias on the win!
