Take a little salt with this one, because while we what appears to be a new Combat Patrol in the codex, it may end up being different than what was pictured (just like with the Necrons and Space Marines).
With the ladder factions, there were also pictures of what looked identical to a combat patrol, but then they turned out different upon release.
So, if this turns out to be the wrong one, don’t get too worked up. With that said, these are designed for new players to the factions just like the current Start Collecting Sets that GW introduced back in 2016 (except for $40-50 more at the register now). They are being marketed as a quick way to get a small force on the table and playing some small games right away.
Most times these starter-style kits are still a pretty good value despite the higher price point- so even if you have some Sisters already, this could be a good pickup regardless.
On to the contents themselves- this looks to be similar to the old Army box from Black Friday 2019, with a Rhino added in. Since they technically just had a big release with the Piety and Pain box, it looks like it could be a couple of months before we see this, again, very similar to how the Space Marines and Necrons were released…

They literally titled this Combat Patrol and detailed as such in this text, so we don’t feel like it’s too far of a stretch to expect this to be their Combat Patrol.
Either way, let’s check out the value inside! Also, we’re assuming this will stay at the $140 price point.
