How to Paint Skin & Muscles: Elminiaturista Painting Tutorial

how to paint muscles 2This is the mini we’ll be painting today and he starts with a black primer over the whole model. The does some grey from the top down for a mini Zenithal highlight feeling.

Step 1

how to paint muscles 3For the base skin tone, he mixes Violet Red and Beige Red from AK Interactive in the airbrush. He then covers all the skin with this mix. Next, he takes a brush and covers the skin again with the same mixture, and picks a light source to highlight from.

To finish this stage out, he actually takes a white and marks all the muscles from that light source, and paints the areas. Just remember, in the back you have to change where the light source is coming from.

Step 2

Then to blend the areas together he takes Beige Skin Tone and starts smoothing the transitions from the dark skin to the light skin. Don’t be too worried about smoothness, we’ll fix it later.

Step 3

Step 4
