Sorry Space Marines Players, GW Updated Their Points Already

It couldn’t last forever, as Games Workshop updated the points already for Space Marines just weeks after the latest balance dataslate for Arks of Omen!

Honestly, this isn’t great for Space Marine players, but it is nice to see GW trying to keep things balanced; we just wished they did a little more playtesting before making the initial changes; that way we wouldn’t have to keep track of everything so often!

This is mainly on one unit, but it is a big change in terms of points, and interesting to see GW making such fast changes.

The unit we’re focusing on here is the Inceptor Squad. In the initial points changes, they could take the Plasma Exterminator for free, and now, GW has changed that to +10 points, which is quite large.

Especially if you have 6 of them, this is an extra 60 points, which is actually more than three base Intercessors. So, while this isn’t the most game-changing thing, it does give an interesting insight into where GW is taking the meta. If they see something that they deem too broken, they don’t seem to wait long to make the changes.

So, if you play any army that is doing well or even has units that do really well, you may want to watch the FAQ page for a stealth update.

We’ll have to see if GW continues to change points quickly or if they keep up with the normal big updates all at once. If you want to download all the new points changes, you can here!

One thing to note is that they don’t have this new change in red either, making it even harder to notice without drawing attention to it.
