Has someone cracked the code to making Age of Sigmar work outside of a GW store? One big FLGS says they have figured it out, and they’re sharing!
According to BoLS:
Dragon’s Lair Comics & Fantasy is one of the top 10 gaming stores in the nation, located in Austin TX.
They tell BoLS that they have successfully jumpstarted a thriving Age of Sigmar community using this set of homebrew narrative league rules.
They have even seen their rules handed out to other FLGS to help them jumpstart Age of Sigmar communities.

The basics are:
- The league starts small and restarts each month.
- It is wound based.
- Each player makes 4 lists of various sizes so players can decide on what what size game to play each game.
- Your lists start small and with basic equipment and warscrolls.
- You gain experience by playing games and can trade these in for warscroll upgrades, more units and exotic warscroll options.
Well this bodes well for all the Non-Games Workshop stores that are reportedly not doing will with sales of the game. For a retailers point of view anything to help move a slugging product, and support a new hobby community in their store is welcome news!
