A new Warhammer 40k fan made 3D animation has been spotted and we just had to share it. Checkout a different kind of hobby obsession.
Taumich (Tau + Michael) is the creator of this awesome looking fan made Warhammer 40k video. He’s spent a couple years putting it all together, and he has finally completed it. Without further ado…
After using blender for nearly 6 years and working on CGI animations as a hobby, I had the foundation ready to produce my first own animation from scratch. As the huge Warhammer 40000 fan that i am (Tau + Michael = Taumich) me making a Warhammer 40k animation was inevitable, and so this is the result from my first animation attempt. Expect improvements to be made and more to come.
Some scenes have worse noise than others since I wouldn’t allow myself to render frames for more than 10 minutes each. Everything was rendered in either 30 or 60 fps depending on how much movement the scene has and the duration it would take to render all frames.
Everything visual and audiable in this animation is made by me from scratch with a few exceptions:
Cinematic flares are made by cfirwin3 (GLFLares 1 were used).
The thunderhawk mesh was rebuilt from scratch but designed after the thunderhawk 3D mesh made by Montrano.
The music was based of Cantus Firmus Monks – Doug Maxwell & Media Right Productions and heavily edited to fit my animation length and events.
This animation is purely fan made and is in no way endorsed by Games Workshop. It is made solely through passion for the Warhammer 40,000 universe. No profit will be made or accepted from this animation.
We’re starting to see more and more fan made 40k videos as the technology becomes more accessible. Taumich did a fantastic job with this video, and we look forward to seeing his next project. Make sure you head on over to Taumich’s Cosplay and give him a follow.
