Forge World dropped a surprise announcement over the weekend bringing more support to the Ultramarines. Check out this new Contemptor Dreadnought!

Forge World updated their pre-order list recently bringing a surprise-release Ultramatines Contemptor up to the spotlight. Recently, we’ve seen Forge World focus on each Legion giving them their own stylized Dreadnought and it looks like the Ultramarines just got theirs. This is for pre-order right now but will ship on November 8, 2019.

Ultramarines Contemptor (Armless) $59

This 18-part resin kit makes one Ultramarines Legion Contemptor Dreadnought and comes with supplied with a 60mm Citadel round base. Rules for the Ultramarines Legion Contemptor Dreadnought can be found in The Horus Heresy – Legiones Astartes: Age of Darkness Army List. Ultramarines Legion special rules are available in The Horus Heresy Book 5 – Tempest.

Please note that the Contemptor Dreadnought arms pictured are not supplied – the kit is compatible with all Contemptor Dreadnought arm options, which are available separately.

All things considered, this is just like any old Contemptor. However, if you want to show off your legion’s insignias and add more depth to your army, this is an awesome way to do it. Overall, Contemptors are great in both 30k and 40k. If you do decide to go in on this unit, be sure to buy two weapons for it as well. Be sure to also future-proof your models by magnetizing them at the joints!

Do you like the look of the Ultramarines Contemptor? Which Legion Dreadnought would you like to see next? What’s the best loadout for the Contemptor?
