My What a Fancy Piece of Wargear: New GW Rumor Engine

gw rumor engineCan you spot something familiar? A new rumor engine is here right on time. However, we’re having some trouble getting an idea of what we’re looking at.

Warhammer Community gave us another rumor engine and while we can’t tell exactly what we’re looking at, it looks eerily similar to something the Aelves in AoS or Aeldari in 40k would carry with them. But it might also be something more sinister… Check out the latest bit and tell us what you think it could be.

My What a Fancy Piece of Wargear: New GW Rumor Engine

Why are these Rumour Engine pictures so vague and unhelpful, you ask? Because it’s fun to watch everyone guess. Take a look at this one:

So here’s the bit. We can tell that the image isn’t flipped because the tassels are all hanging downward. If it was flipped, the tassels standing straight up would be a dead giveaway. Digging deeper, there are gems and some kind of ornate metal wrapping around whatever the main body of the bit is. And finally, some kind of metal “caps” covering the end of what might be some sharp tips.

If you ask us, it looks like this might be a set of horns. The horns/antlers are dressed with some fancy jewelry, for lack of a better word, and have the dangerous tips capped.

Horn caps actually exist and are used to keep animals like bulls and goats from goring people. GW might have used that as some inspiration!

What do you think about the bit? Does that put off a Slaaneshi vibe to you? Or is this something else maybe coming to the Beasts of Chaos?
