Even more new MKVI Forge World Horus Heresy upgrades, this time for Word Bearers, have been revealed by Games Workshop.
These will be cast in resin from Forge World, so if you were hoping for all-new plastics for your models, it looks like we won’t be getting everything in plastic for Horus Heresy after all…
Last time they came out and said the upgrades would be MTO; however, they just said pre-order on these . So who knows, maybe you could actually score these before the 180 days.

These new helmets will ensure your MKVI Tactical Squads really look the part – how better to show your devotion than carving Colcishian cuneiform directly into your beak? There are nine Legionary helms in three designs, plus a scarred bare head bellowing a sermon, and a Sergeant’s helmet sporting a horned daemonic mask.
These are much better than some of the heads we’ve seen recently! Lucky for the Word Bearers, there are no Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in the Age of Darkness.
A set of 10 shoulder pads continue the vibe, with abstruse etched runes winding their way across the surface, topped off with the Legion’s sculpted heraldry – a book burning with the irresistible flame of devotion. Both sets are cast in resin, and you’ll be able to bestow them upon your sons of Lorgar in the new year.
These pads are pretty detailed and will really let the enemy know your words are the truth! While they aren’t the craziest thing design-wise, they should make your minis stand out!
