If you’re like us, you’re probably loading up your Warhammer 40k app to figure out what these datasheets do. They may seem unimpressive at first, but when you add [Stealth] and [Cover] to every unit, they become a real nuisance.

The list relies on layering buffs to boost effectiveness and includes powerful units like the rust stalkers, Skorpius Disintegrators, and Pteraxii. Stratagems play a crucial role, providing benefits such as Advance and Charge for the Rust Stalkers, +1 AP, +1 To Wound, and a 5+ Feel No Pain for most of the army. Managing Command Points is critical in this army.

1st Place: Kit Smith – Necrons

Kit’s list was led by a Hexmark Destroyer for a solid lone operative, a Royal Warden to help with battleshocked units. The Silent King is the best model in the faction, providing supportive abilities and acting as a fantastic combat threat. A unit of Spyders is a cheap close-range threat to help wrap up enemy units, and two Deathmarks help to pick off enemy models with ranged shots.

Two Doomsday Arks lend some mobility with good range firepower, while three Lokhurst Destroyers provide solid Lethal Hit shots. The list then ends on two Monoliths for more significant threats that have to be answered, or else they will float around and wreak havoc while also adding a ton of mobility thanks to its Eternity Gate ability.

And there you have it! The Flying Monkey Con showcased some top-tier Warhammer 40k action, and these army lists certainly did not disappoint. From Necrons to Adeptus Mechanicus, it’s clear that these players brought their A-game. Whether you’re a veteran player or just getting started playing Warhammer 40k, there’s a lot to learn from these top-tier tactics and compositions.
