1st Place: Dan Sammons – Astra Militarum Army Lists
At the Free State GT, Dan’s army was a masterclass in firepower, strategy, and sheer grit, showing that humanity’s finest don’t need fancy psychic nonsense or post-human genetics to win battles. Just discipline, tanks, and a lot of ammo.
Every force needs a leader, and Gaunt’s Ghosts filled that role with their usual mix of legendary skill and sheer stubbornness.
Big problems require big solutions. Enter two Rogal Dorn tanks, each bristling with enough firepower to make enemy commanders sweat. These tanks were not just there for firepower; they also kept orders flowing across the battlefield, ensuring everything was running like a well-oiled war machine.
Backing them up was Ursula Creed, bringing even more strategic coordination to the mix. Astra Militarum armies live and die by their orders, and between the tanks and Creed, this list had no shortage of them. On the ground, Cadian Shock Troops held the line. Three Taurox transports kept them safe, making sure nothing got caught out of position early.
Backing them up were three units of Krieg Combat Engineers. These hardened specialists brought mortal wound output and enough bodies to keep the fight going, no matter how much fire came their way.
The list didn’t stop there—two Krieg Heavy Weapon Teams, two units of Heavy Weapons Squads, and a Field Ordnance Battery made sure there was enough stationary firepower to ruin anyone’s day.
