You’ve probably noticed by now, that usually at the end of most of my posts are two small lines of advertising for the Spikey Bits Online store (see that- just did it again, lol).
Occasionally (mostly when I post on BoLS) some people make negative remarks about those two little lines of text…. all alone at the bottom of my posts.
It’s funny to me, because as far as internet marketing goes, this is about as tame as it gets. If it offends you still, well I’m truly sorry. If people would stop clicking hyperlinks, I’d stop posting them, lol.
Recently though I was marketed so ridiculously that even I was taken aback by it. I was on New Egg’s website, and it got real.
All I went there for was a fricking video card.
Just ONE item, heck I even had the specific sku. I just typed it in the search box, and added to my cart. After hitting checkout I got this;

and this….
seriously?
um……
Holy crap, five pages?
FIVE PAGES of advertisements just to get through their shopping cart? WOW, just wow. Two lines of small font text would have sufficed guys jeeesh!
