Palpatine is the single most powerful character in Star Wars Destiny. With his crazy character dice, he is a literal one man army. His passive ability also crushes the enemy whenever he resolves his character dice. @ free damage per character dice is a nice way to burn through your enemies fast!
Temptation is a new 1 cost upgrade for the Emperor that will entice your opponent. With 1 disrupt, 1 discard, and 2 special ability sides, this die seem to not be that strong, until you see what it can do. Its special ability allows you to choose an opponent, they then may draw 2 cards. If they do draw 2, you gain 2 resources. If they don;t draw 2, you draw 2 cards. This upgrade tempts your opponent to lay into your hands. Extra resources are always good, and drawing cards can give you new ways to counter your opponent.
Since the Emperor’s character dice are so powerful, they are often targeted for removal with extreme prejudice. Not anymore! Endurance is a 1 cost Event that activates once one of your character dice were removed during you opponent’s last turn. Endurance allows you to roll one of those removed dice back into your pool. This is an incredibly powerful card for Palpatine as nothing enrages him more than dice removal. Get your dice back in the game!
Another amazing card made just for Palpatine is indomitable. Since he is so powerful and costs 28 point to field as an elite, his is often by himself. This is perfect for Indomitable. This 1 cost Blue Event triggers if you only have exactly one character. Give that character 3 shields. This is amazing that it can keep the Emperor alive with shields and allow him to continue to punish those who dare oppose him.
