Bloody Pirates! Star Wars Destiny

By Barclay Montgomery | December 22nd, 2017 | Categories: Star Wars Destiny, Star Wars Tactics

Check this new Heroes deck that will have your enemy’s head spin. Use these pirate tactics to secure your victory any way you can!

Ketsu Onyo enters the Destiny universe with one heck of a crazy ability. Ketsu basically has the Redeploy ability applied to each of your weapons being that before one of your characters is defeated, you may move a weapon from them to Ketsu Onyo. This can make for one heck of a last stand type character grabbing all the weapons from your defeated allies. Her character die is spread out with 2 ranged, 2 melee, 1 disrupt, 1 discard, and 1 resource.

Jedi Instructor is a nice addition to this deck being that it also has a synergistic ability with Ketsu Onyo. After you activate Jedi Instructor, you may turn one of your character dice to a side showing the same symbol as the Instructors die. This can be beneficial once you consider its die with 1 ranged, 1 melee, and 1 resource side in common with Ketsu.

To round out this squad, go with Maz Kanata, Pirate Queen. Her ability will make for super speedy action plays and has matching sides with the Jedi Instructor. 1 ranged, 2 sides with 1 focus, 1 shield and 1 resource is everything that the Instructor needs to keep Maz rolling well and quickly.

One of the best Yellow Neutral weapons, X-8 Night Sniper can be made even better by adding the “Redeploy”” mechanic with Ketsu Onyo. Since Ketsu looks like a dangerous character for late game, your opponent will surely go for her first. The way to counteract this can be to make your other characters even more scary, like Maz with a Night Sniper. This can put your opponent into a series of hard choices, and this can be all you need to achieve victory.

If you ever feel like you are strapped for cash, just Adapt. This Blue Event can use your shields as a form of currency by being able to remove 1 shield from a character to gain 1 resource. This can help out with upgrades and supports that you could add to this deck.

The Legacy set of Star Wars Destiny is going to break the game wide open and add a whole slew of new cards to play with!
