The new Quasar Fire ship is a super squadron carrier ready to rapidly deploy squadrons to intercept enemy bombers. Let’s take a look at a build!
The Quasar Class-I is a great platform for pushing squadrons around the battle. Let’s kit this baby out to be a super carrier! Let’s start by boosting our squadrons against other squadrons.
Flight Controllers is the perfect upgrade for a carrier based ships since it boost the attacks of all squads activated by it. Flight Controllers adds one blue die to the anti-squadron armament of its activated squadrons. If you have TIE fighters and Howlrunner in your fighter screen, your TIEs could be throwing 5 blue dice at other squadrons whenever you activate them! No Rebel squadrons could withstand firepower of that magnitude!
To make this ship even more of a carrier, add Expanded Hangar Bay to give you 5 squadrons to activate! That could be 5 TIE Bombers ready to dish out the damage to enemy ships that dare to get close. With Flight Controllers, even your TIE Bombers will be able to fend off enemy squadrons!
Since this ship will mostly be focused on squadron commands, it should be aware that it is not designed for close range fighting. The new Disposable Capacitors can really make a difference with it’s blue dice. This new upgrade allows you to discard its card to enable your blue dice to be used when attacking at long range. This is a great way to get in some early damage with your blue dice at long range, before dodging out of enemy ships’ firing arcs that can punish the Quasar.
This new carrier ship will be exciting to fly. It will really boost the squadron capabilities of the Imperial fleet!
