Genestealer Cult have made it from 40k, into Kill Team, and now back into Necromunda! Let’s see what kind of gang stuff is going with the Cult now.
Warhammer Community announced that Genestealer Cult have finally gotten their rules for Necromunda and they’re available for download now. Word of GSC coming to Necromunda is nothing new actually.
It first got talked about in a White Dwarf Magazine from a while back.
GSC Rules
That third arm is a huge help. You can take heavy weapons and still be completely mobile with them. You can also make them even scarier in combat. The alpha can get three attacks and even carry another weapon with his third arm.
Aberrants can only be given close combat weapons or armor. either way, their stronger than most things and can hit their target well in close combat.
Aberrants can appear from any generation. Going by what it says under “special rules”, it looks like Aberrants are always stupid no matter which generation you go with. But one might have more strength or hit better with a certain weapon. We are missing the last piece of the puzzle for that.
Hybrids are a flexible unit that can be kitted with a third arm or be kept cheap at only 45 credits and two arms. The’yre T3 and move, hit, and shoot at everything on 4’s. You may want to give them a third arm to get some bonus attacks or shoot an awkward weapon at full BS. Or you could double down on units and just swarm other gangs with models.
Cult Wargear
The Cult Leaders (Adept or Alpha) have full access to any wargear they want. Of course, GSC still get their signature power tools like the Heavy rock cutter and saw. Their armor isn’t the best because they wear simple hazard suits 90% of the time.
GSC come in all different shapes sizes. They also come in different generations. You can give your hybrids a third arm for 45 credits if you’d like to. Remember that you’re paying 45 credits more for a T3 unit wearing a space shirt. Only spend the credits on what you need. Your leaders come with a third arm already which is nice.
