It’s that time of year again, with this year’s Lone Star Open looking to be even bigger and better than the previous one! Frontline Gaming has got convention hosting down to a science at this point, with plenty of gaming options available to those planning on attending. Time To Book: Lone Star Open 2024 Registration is Open!
Frontline Gaming Events are always special, but the Lone Star Open holds a unique spot on the gaming scene. It is dedicated to honoring the members of the US Armed Forces who are currently serving or have served in the past. There will be special perks for military personnel, including access to a limited room block with even lower rates than their already discounted room block!
In addition, several of the tournaments will feature military personnel participating. The 40k Champs event will feature members representing each branch of the military, who will compete to determine the best among them and earn the title of Frontline Gaming’s Branch Champ (with more details on the way for this!).

The Lone Star Open, is held in the Marriott Dallas Allen Hotel & the attached Watters Creek Convention Center (777 Watters Creek Blvd, Allen, TX 75013), just North of Dallas Texas, and across the street from over 50 restaurants, bars, and shops right outside the front door at Watters Creek, a resort-style mixed-use development. The Marriott hotel attached to the convention center, has a two highly discounted room blocks which Frontline Gaming has secured for event players.

Lone Star Open 2024 Events
We’ll take a closer look at some of the bigger events, but here’s everything you can play in:

Now, let’s take a more in-depth look at some of the bigger events.
Warhammer 40k Champs: $110
This two day Warhammer 40K Champs event will take place over Saturday and Sunday. Everyone will play 3 rounds on Saturday and 3 rounds on Sunday. This is a matched play competitive event but all players are welcome and encouraged to participate. This event will use FLG Static Terrain Layouts.
If you want to get in a good weekend of 40k, this is the way to go!
AoS Champs: $110
The Outlaw Grand Tournament is Frontline Gaming’s 2000 point Age of Sigmar Event. This two day Warhammer Age of Sigmar Champs event will take place over Saturday and Sunday. Everyone will play 3 rounds on Saturday and up to 3 rounds on Sunday. This is a matched play competitive event but all players are welcome and encouraged to participate.
Like the 40k event, this will be a two-day event with tons of amazing armies and games!
Star Wars Legion Champs: $80
This two day Grand Tournament consisting of 6 rounds of swiss style tournament. This two day Star Wars Legion Champs event will take place over Saturday and Sunday. This is a competitive event but all players are welcome and encouraged to participate.
