If you’ve been looking for a new game to play, Deep Rock Galactic is basically a Squats Vs Tyranids Co-Op FPS you can get on Steam!
The main heroes of the game are, you guessed it, Space Dwarves! Now, what does that remind you of? Oh yeah, the upcoming Leagues of Votann. Then, your world is being invaded by a race of crazy space aliens, which to us at least, feels an awful lot like the Tyranids. While it actually has nothing to do with 40k lore or GW, this could be perfect if you’ve been looking for a game.
The game has also garnered overwhelmingly positive reviews (with over 100,00 reviews) and is priced pretty well for a game of this size. Plus, if you haven’t heard of it before, there is a ton of content, meaning you’ll get plenty of playtime!

With season two being brand new, even if you played before, you should be able to get plenty of enjoyment out of it, and again, it’s basically Squats, so what’s there not to like? You can grab the game from Steam here.
The dwarves in the game even bear a striking resemblance to the new Leagues of Votann, so as you’re in the game, just pretend it’s set in 40k, and you’re good to go! Here’s a little about the game from the makes themselves:
- Deep Rock Galactic is a 1-4 player co-op FPS featuring badass space Dwarves, 100% destructible environments, procedurally-generated caves, and endless hordes of alien monsters.

You play as a team of badass dwarven space miners, out to complete missions for your corporate overlords and to collect as much gold, gems, and other precious minerals as you possibly can before you’re overrun.

To complete your tasks, you’re equipped with a wide variety of severely hard-hitting weapons as well as a slew of hand gadgets. Set up turrets, call down supplies, build staircases up walls, or simply just drill your way to your objective – the choice is yours!
Even the weapons themselves look similar to what we’ve seen so far for 40k! So, if you’re looking for a new game to play, might as well give this one a try!
