Kromlech Omega Legion & Thunder Shield Bits Unboxing

Omega Legion UnboxingHere is our unboxing and build of the Omega Legion and Thunder Shield Bits from Kromlech that are perfect Warhammer 40k Alternatives.

The hobby maniacs over at Kromlech have been a great alternative studio for some time now. Their Marine line is just awesome and will make your army look so much cooler than anyone else around.

Today Rob is taking a look at a bunch of the defenders’ bits and minis! We are going to show you everything that the kits come with, how long they take to build, and some size comparisons. That way you can decide if these are worth your hard-earned hobby dollars.

Kromlech Omega Legion & Thunder Shield Bits Unboxing

Omega Legion Unboxing 2The Kromlech site has so much stuff on there it’s insane! They have free shipping on everything over €150 and have something for everyone. If you want terrain, minis, or bits, they have it!

Omega Legion Unboxing 3But today, we’ll be taking a look at all their Prime Omega Legionary bits. These are upgrade bit kits, so you could build entire squads out of them, but more often than not, these will just be perfect conversion bits.  By building them from scratch here from their bits, you won’t save much, but you will have an army that stands out.

However, what most people do is just grab a few packs from Kromlech, and then mix and match them with their leftover bits to make more full squads.

Omega Legion Unboxing 4If you want your minis to look a certain way just by using a few of the kits, these are perfect to hobby on. Realistically though, most people will buy the individual bits to really upgrade your forces. Just like these upgrade packs.

The Bits

Omega Legion Unboxing 5One really cool thing is that Kromlech can be carried by stores here in the US. So if you own a store, these are a really cool addition to any shop. It makes a perfect little addition for people to grab that isn’t too much money. They also come ready with everything you need ready for retail.

Even if you’re buying these for yourself, the packaging is amazing and does really well when shipped.

Omega Legion Unboxing 9When you get up close to the bodies, weapons, and bits they just look amazing and have so much detail! With the bodies being a single piece it makes them so much easier to build and there are almost no mold lines to cut. Again, they are the same price as the plastic kit, but really do look much more specialized. All the other bits look super easy to build as well and just as detailed.

Omega Legion Unboxing 11These are just so amazing when put together! The detail work on these is stunning and it goes together in seconds. This is what we think most people will use them for, where you keep the base marine and just add on the bits.

Omega Legion Unboxing 12

Omega Legion Unboxing 14They are perfect if you’re missing an arm or two, might as well make them look better.

Omega Legion Unboxing 13When you get them all together with full Kromlech pieces they look super dope. They aren’t really cheaper, but they look so much cooler and that’s where the value really comes in. So even if you can’t afford an entire army of them, just grabbing a few bits to upgrade your army is totally worth it.

Size Comparisons

Omega Legion Unboxing 15The scaling is right if you want to use these as a Primaris alternative, so no worries there.
