Abaddon Never Looked So Bad: Castle Brush Showcase

abaddon painted showcase castlebrushWith the release of the new Chaos Space Marines Codex, we wanted to revisit one of the smoothest paint jobs we’ve seen on Abaddon by Castle Brush EU.

The artistic team at Castle Brush has been pumping out some amazing-looking projects for the worldwide hobby community and they really went all out on this one!

They really have some creative masterminds over there, and it’s hard to find a character more interesting than this one. Castle Brush EU painted this Abaddon up seriously flexing the capacity of their hobby skills.

With the new codex out, it feels like the perfect time it really felt like a great time to go back and look at this masterpiece!

Close-ups

castle brush abaddonHere he is in all the glory of the dark gods. This is the highest level of painting that Castle Brush EU performs as a service (and then some). Drachn’yen looks as evil as ever, glowing with barely-contained Daemon rage. The Non-Metallic Metal effects on the Imperial wings as well as the trim of his armor translate into hours of close detail work from the get-go.

Jaw Dropping AbaddonThe dark mechanical suit is painted up with Non-Metallic Metal and gold heraldry. Abaddon’s cape is adorned with immaculate freehand painting work. You can see subtle, faded-out inscriptions of Chaos that almost look too real to think that it’s possible to pull that effect off by hand! The ragged pelt on his armor looks like he just slew a beast that crossed his path on his way over to Cadia for one final time.

Jaw Dropping AbaddonAbaddon looks fabulous in his dynamic pose, complete with the fallen Primaris we’ve always wanted underfoot. The level of painting this miniature possesses is simply stunning. At this level, the work done can reach high-end competition levels of painting for sure.

Jaw Dropping AbaddonThis has been another fantastic showcase of the evilest Chaos Space Marine on this side of the 13th Black Crusade.

That does it today for this awesome project. If you are looking for a studio that can handle anything from dioramas to full-scale armies, make sure you check out the creative team at Castle Brush today!
