infinity nomads battle box by dna 1Jack of Clubs Painting is here with a breakdown on the newest Sectoral Army for Infinity that was previewed at Adepticon 2018, the Tunguska Nomads.

Recently at Adepticon, Corvus Belli announced the next Sectoral Army for Infinity. There were many guesses, Carlos even making a game out of it during the studio preview. Most people in the room were wrong! It’s Tunguska, the third sectoral for The Nomads faction. Tunguska is easily described as the third sectoral for the Nomads, but they are also referred to as, “The best hackers and crackers, in the galaxy.”

With Nomads already touting a big reputation as great hackers and spec ops agents, “The best hackers in the galaxy” is saying something. So, on top of hackers, what else will they get? Some pretty awesome toys. Tunguska will have access to the brand new sculpt of the Szalamandra TAG, which is astounding in its quality, and some brand new units, such as Hecklers, and The Hollow Men.

The Hollow Men are one of the new units for Tunguska. Described as “Totally Loyal” and “Ruthless”, these guys are not to be messed with. These operatives are basically brains in jars, linked to the Nomads network. And they use these synthetic bodies to go out and accomplish their missions.

Hecklers are the new hacker and specialist unit for Tunguska, they should always come in useful in any list. Plus they have cool outfits.

They will also get fireteam links for their core unit, the Securitae, and other links for units like Grenzers, and Kriza Boracs. Corvus Belli didn’t show off what their full sectoral roster will be, but it’s safe to assume that they will have access to other cross-sectoral units that the other Nomad forces have.

Securitae is the core troop for Tunguska, these will look slick on the table. I wonder if he wears those sunglasses at night too…

Slated for a June release, the Tunguska Jurisdictional Command will get their own starter box. Contents could change, but what they showed off would contain a Kriza Borac, a Hollow Man, a Heckler, and three Securitae. Pretty solid for a sectoral box. With enough core troopers for a link team out of the gate, the new Hollow Men, which were said to be pretty nasty, and a solid hacker operative in the Heckler. Not to mention the big Kriza Borac, who is a beefy power armored heavy infantry, with access to some very deadly weapons like HMGs, Mk12s, and Multi-Rifles. You can also take a Kriza Borac with 360-degree Visors, which are very handy because the user has a 360-degree line of fire arc, and can’t be sneaked up on from behind.

For more information on the current state of Infinity, pick up the new Uprising book, it contains the latest rules updates, backstory, and the new rules for Unaligned armies. Specifically the new Japanese Secessionist Army, and the Merc forces like Druze Bayram, and Starco.
