While some TV adaptations have been… let’s say not so great, the images of this new series are looking fantastic!
Especially with the Nolans at the helm (they also made Westworld), this is looking quite promising, and most things look pretty awesome. The series will follow Lucy on a rescue mission as she ventures into the wastes.
First Look at the Upcoming Fallout TV Show!
The first look at the new Amazon Prime Fallout TV series comes from Vanity Fair.
First up, the power armor looks impressive and so much like the game! Don’t worry, though; they won’t all be CGI and actually have some insane suits made up as well.
Something really good about the show is that they have Todd Howard (the director of Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 and executive producer at Bethesda Game Studios), as an executive producer on the series.
Here’s what he had to say about the show:
We had a lot of conversations over the style of humor, the level of violence, the style of violence. Look, Fallout can be very dramatic, and dark, and postapocalyptic, but you need to weave in a little bit of a wink…. I think they threaded that needle really well on the TV show.
It’s good to see they are keeping up with the game’s feel, as it’s not all doom and gloom in the future.
Ah yes, back to the power armor! It really looks great, and the scale of it is pretty giant as well! If you were worried about how they handled it, we’d say quite well. They also mention there will be plenty of Brotherhood of Steel action in the series.
The Ghoul will be played by Walter Goggins (Hateful 8 & Django Unchained), who seems to encapsulate the role pretty well!
Nolan says:
There is a chasm in time and distance between who this guy was and who he’s become, which for me creates an enormous dramatic question: What happened to this guy? So we’ll walk backwards into that.
From the sounds of it, he will have plenty of screen time!
