18 Custom Space Marines Chapter Tactics: You Can Choose 2

Space Marine Successor Chapter tactics

To make your own chapter tactic, just pick two from the list below:

  1. Whirlwind of Rage: unmodified melee roll of 6+ on charge or when charged causes an additional hit. Can’t be combined with Duelists.
  2. Duelists: Unmodded 6 to hit auto-wound against Infantry and Bikers in melee. Can’t be combined with Whirlwind of Rage.
  3. Warded: 5+++ FNP against mortal wounds only.
  4. Tactical Withdrawal: Can fall back and charge in the same turn.
  5. Stoic: +1 Leadership
  6. Stealthy: Units count as being in cover more than 12″ away from enemy units.
  7. Stalwart: unit cannot be wounded by unmodified wound rolls of 1 or 2. Irrespective of the abilities of the attacker.
  8. Scions of the Forge: Vehicle damage tables count as being double in terms of modifiers and performance.
  9. Rapid Assault: Ignores the penalty for advancing and firing Assault Weapons.
  10. Preferred Enemy: Re-roll hits against selected Xenos in melee on the turn you charge, are charged, heroically intervene.
  11. Master Artisans: Re-roll one hit and wound when shooting, over-watching or in combat for each unit.
  12. Long Range Marksmen:+3” to all ranged weapons.
  13. Knowledge is Power: Re-roll any or all dice rolls of one on psychic or deny.
  14. Indomitable: No more than one model flees on failed morale tests. (You still get Know no Fear).
  15. Hungry for Battle: +1 to advance and charge rolls.
  16. Fearsome Aspect: -1 enemy Ld within 3″ of any unit in your army with this tactic.
  17. Born Heroes: 6″ Heroic Intervention for characters only.
  18. Bolter Fusillade: Re-roll hits of one on Bolt weapons.

There are a lot of options to pick from on the list but you’ll be able to pick two of the rules in almost any combination. There are some pretty cool rules that seem stronger than a few of the others. For example, Long Range Marksmen gives +3″ to ALL weapons. That means flamers will be able to touch the enemy coming down from deepstrike, meltas will have more melta range for a chance at doing bonus damage, etc.
