Welcome back hobby maniac’s today we’re going to add some spice to your tabletop with some must see new game mats!

Checkout these new products fromWarrgamesmat.com. No, this is not a satellite view of a ginormous hurricane hitting the east coast during sunset; it’s a brand spanking new Mars mat.

It's not a Hurricane

This mat comes in your standard 6 x 4 table mat size, but this one in my opinion really raises the bar in terms of design, and quality, features that set any mat company apart from what feels like a very crowded space right now.

The hues of oranges don’t just pop off the mat; they radiate off this map.

Long War terrain and Mat

The mat uses a 2mm rubber, similar to a mouse pad, I will admit it’s a little bit thinner than what I feel we’re used to in gaming mats but I don’t think that’s a detractor. It’s a high quality that can stand up to a beating. This mat always lays flat, I put some serious torque trying to get this thing to crease or bend or anything and it just refused to show any signs of weakness.

I’ve spilled beer and liquor on these things and they’ve cleaned up well. Theoretically, you could throw these in the washing machine. I used to run my old magic mouse mats through the wash and they would come out just fine. I’m not sure how you’d wash this (maybe at a laundry mat?) but it should work. However, a spot cleaner would also work great. I’m a fan of Resolve with my cats. Of course, be sure you test it in a small spot and make sure it won’t ruin the mat.

Another key point to mention is that the dice roll really well on this mat. There’s a pleasant sound when the dice hit the mat. I put some standard Long War terrain on top of it and the mat really compliments the grim dark future.  This mat is a great addition to any tabletop, especially Ad Mech players because of the mars theme, who wants to take pictures of their models in the thick of battle.

Next up, the Daemon world mat is just as vibrant and comes with tons of crazy lava cracks splitting the world apart. The long war terrain looks great on it. It has the same high quality mat on an amazing design; I mean, just look at that chaos lava star!

When it comes right down to it, quality wise, all the mats out there these days are pretty much the same. However, what really separates a mat is who makes them. Mat design and customer service are key seperators and Wargames Mat has great designs and amazing customer service.
