Know No Fear- New Space Marines Unboxings

By Rob Baer | September 10th, 2013 | Categories: 40k News & Articles, Product Review, Space Marines, Videos

Reinforcements have arrived. The Space Marines are HERE.

All around the world the Angels of Death have caused quite a stir, and gamers everywhere are scrambling to secure their share of the highly anticipated Space Marines of 2013.

This time around though, they seem to have the tools to deal with the tabletop threats that have emerged since their “hiatus”.

Today I have for you spankin’ new video unboxings of the sweet new Space Marine Kits;  Centurions, Stalker Tank, New Tactical Squad, Vanguard and Sternguard Veterans kits, plus all three plastic HQ’s (Chaplain, Captain, and Librarian).

For this release, the models are all brand new sculpts, except the Stalker tank kit which was re-release combo kit of the current rhino chassis, and a new “upgrade” sprue for with all the Stalker bits. However all the other kits were 100% new for this release!

So where does this leave us? Well thankfully each kit comes with some of the new “Graviton” weaponry that was introduces in the new book, as well as tons of other cool bits as well!

For most people though it seemed like opinion was divided initially over this release based off the early Centurion pictures (which look great IMHO).

I think the trick to appreciate these models fully is to see them in person, as they are on a new scale of base (50mm round) that can skew their true proportions!

Kenny from Next Level Painting is already working on the “next big thing”

On the whole, the new kits themselves once again stand out from the pack from a design perspective. Both the of the veteran boxes come with a tons of bits that can be used on other “normal” marine models that can produce some truly unique figures!

Please enjoy my video unboxings of the new models below, and be sure to checkout my initial thoughts of the new Space Marine Codex, as well! -MBG
