High VELOCITY, Low Open is how the Space Marines get Dynamic Re-entry done!

“Thunderhawk Ultra Primaris to Captain Zedrenael. By Terra, what the hell do you think you’re doing?!”
“We’re killing those damned AA guns and we’re not sending a committee to Macragge about it, brother.”
“The squadron is flying in a formation several square metres too tight as it is. I don’t have the room to start dodging suicidal supersonic Astartes!”
“Believe me, brother, that will not be necessary.”

Before the lead Ultramarine Thunderhawk’s pilot could send a retort, the Captain of the Blood Angels 8th Company closed the vox channel and turned to his battle-brothers in the Storm Eagle gunship’s cargo compartment.
“It seems this next one is going to give our uptight brothers in blue a couple new grey hairs, but I’ll much rather risk scratching the paint of a gunship than let the degenerate savages down there massacre a city of two million. Assault drop pattern Skylance Tertius. We’re going down.”
His brothers needed no persuasion as they fired up their jump pack engines in anticipation.

“By the Blood of Sanguinius!”

Bio: Virginia restless, miniature painter & cat dad. He blames LEGOs for all this, as there was something about those little-colored blocks that started it all. Spikey Bits started with Rob trying to stay motivated to hobby on his backlog of projects and share his knowledge with others during the early blogging era.

Scale model hobbyist in the 80s, miniature wargamer, and trading card player ever since. He’s played every edition of Warhammer 40k and Warhammer Fantasy since 5th Edition, but Titans of all sizes will always be his favorite! It’s even rumored that his hobby vault rivals the Solemnance Galleries, containing rulebooks filled with lore from editions long past, ancient packs of black-bordered Magic Cards, and minatures made of both pewter and resin.
